If you want something a bit better than your camera phone for taking snaps, you should check out the newly-launched Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II compact camera.
The sequel to the original Canon PowerShot G9 X, this one packs a strong retro look reminiscent of 1960s cameras at first glance, but packs all the tech you need for 21st century photography.
Ok, the technical stuff. This thing has a 20.1-megapixel sensor, DIGIC 7 processor and 3x optical zoom, as well as continuous shooting at up to 8.2 fps, full HD video up to 60fps and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
So good looks and plenty of help to capture a great image. The Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II will be available from February 2017. If you want to -pre-order, you can do that now for £449.
