Yes, another tie-in to this 1960s classic. But I still love the idea of playing The Beatles Yellow Submarine Monopoly.
Of course, this is Monopoly. The game itself and the gameplay really don’t change when the theme does. But that’s no bad thing. This is a board game classic, dating back as far as 1935 and still a popular play when friends and family are at a loose end.
Only this time it has had a Beatles makeover. The box has the same psychedelic look of the movie, the pewter tokens are now the Submarine, the Flying Glove, the Nowhere Man, the Love Sign Sgt. Pepper Drum and Old Fred and the board? Well, at first glance it is the board we all know and love. But look closely and that’s not quite the case.
No London locations here. Instead you will be buying, selling and trading your way through the Sea of Science, the Headlands, Nowhere Land, the Sea of Holes and other locations associated with the movie and the band. In short, if you are a fan of either, this will be right up your street. If not, stick with the basic version.
£33.42 if you fancy a game this weekend.
