We’ve covered a number of retro and vintage instruments over the past few months, but our favourites are definitely Mod Guitars.
Mod Guitars are a part of the Waterstone guitar group, which was formed by Rob Singer, creating instruments that take inspiration from the 50s and 60s and picking up fans across the music spectrum, from classic rockers to today’s hip young things, including Sigur Ros and the excellent Tyde.
All are precision made by craftsmen, with customisation available on
request. Indeed, as well as ‘Mod’ model names (including Carnaby and
Brighton 64), you can also get a Mod-styled paint job, like the target
and arrow models shown.
Prices vary depending on your choice, with the Carnaby guitar retailing
for $679.95 (that around £340). And if you’re not happy, they’ll even
give you your money back.

Have you looked at Danelectro guitars? They’re really lovely retro styled instruments and they perform beautifully as well.
