Caban Casita is a delightful Scandinavian-style cabin, located in Cenarth, a Carmarthenshire village just inland from Cardigan Bay.
Built in 1973, it was designed by the Welsh architect Graham Brooks in a woodland site as part of one of the first eco-friendly tourist plans. It was restored earlier this year, but still maintains many of its original features that won Brooks several awards.
Cabin Casita is one of three similar cabins in the same location, all decorated in fantastic retro style – Cabin Casita boasts an Eero Aarnio Globe Chair.
But unique selling point of this one is that it is dog-friendly and the second bedroom has been re-designed especially for canine companions with a fitted dog bed and feeding bowls. The dog motive is continued in the pop artwork on the pine walls of the cabin.
If you aren’t a dog owner or want something for a larger group, the other two cabins are equally fun – the cosy ‘Love Shack’ Caban Cariad or the larger Cabin Cwtch. All three cabins can be rented together to sleep 10 guests.
There are seasonal onsite facilities including a heated pool and sauna, and the local area is ideal for long walks. All of the cabins can be booked for a week or shorter stays.
