There have been rumbling of discontent on various fashion blogs recently that Biba has lost its way somewhat. The main accusation has been the label has moved away from its origins an is no longer affordable for the average woman. Whilst the prices are certainly on the high side, the designs continue to be heavily influenced by the label’s 1960’s roots and some pieces are worth saving up for, as is the case with the Biba Black Tunic Dress.
It is made from 100% silk jersey, is mini-length and has balloon-sleeves. The print on it is pretty similar to the print on the Hulanicki wallpaper from Habitat, but unfortunately the dress costs a fair bit more, priced at just under £300.
It is available now from Matches Fashion.
