This Kaiser Idell Table Lamp is a fine example of Bauhaus design, originating from the 1940s. This model is the nr 6631, which has a curving arm supporting an adjustable mushroom-cap shade.
It was designed by Christian Dell, a Master silversmith, who was Bauhaus’ metal workshop master from 1922 to 1925.
Stella Christie Lighting currently have this lamp in stock in both black and cream lacquered steel, both priced £425.
I tried to buy a lamp from Stella Christie over a year ago. They never respond to any emails, and a year later the lamp in question is still on their website. I’m not even convinced they’re still in business!
I’ve not been impressed by Stella Christie in the past – we were interested in a pair of lamps on their website but they completely ignored our email.
In addition, Kaiser Idell lamps are way cheaper if bought from eBay.
