Another astoundingly modern-looking design dating back to the Bauhaus heyday, the Albers Nesting Tables have been reissued by Vitra.
Designed by Josef Albers for the house of a Berlin psychoanalyst Fritz Moellenhaf, they combine geometric shapes with bold colours, turquoise, yellow, red and blue, lacquered underneath glass tops.
They cost £1030 from The Lighthouse. Not cheap but remember for that price, you are getting four tables, which doesn’t make it seem quite so bad!
