A mid-century design, but not from the mid-century era – the Gaivota rocking chair by Reno Bonzon was actually designed in the 1980s.
It’s a design that wouldn’t look out of place with your Eames items. And a design that actualy started out in the snow – Bonzon basing it on his bodyprint after he had been sat in deep snow, adjusting the dimensions and balance so a person of any size would be comfortable in it.
The chair is made of a walnut-stained beech plywood and retails online for £820.
