We featured the Verner Panton Topan pendant light a couple of months back – which was only available in monochrome shades at the time. That’s not the case anymore.
Yes, as you can see from the image above, this 1959 classic is now being sold in a range of bright colours – orange, yellow, red and turquoise in addition to the previously announced black and white.
All are made from aluminium, with a diameter of 21cm. Each one retails for £154.

This lamp looks beautiful for the price. It does not overpower the room and it gives very adequate lighting. I love it.
Can someone tell me if the original Topan always came without ventilation holes around the top? I have a couple of them here, in very authentic green, only they have a circle of holes (barely visible) up near the top, to provide ventilation around the bulb.
I’d like to know if they are cheap copies or the real thing,
