To cut a long story short, Gerrit Rietveld designed the modernist Schroeder House in 1923, along with suitably geometric furniture for it – including the Schroeder table. And now that design has been updated by Jean-Marie Massaud with the Don Gerrit table.
Essentially it keeps the same shape, but uses different materials – replacing the wood for glass, but keep the bold slices of colour that made the original so distinctive.
Available in a choice of colourways, it retails for just over £500.
