At first glance, it might look like an Eames lounge chair, but the Michael Malmborg Wing lounge chair is as much about the future as the past.
The Eames inspiration is obvious, but the Wing takes things a step further, using the biggest single piece of bendwood ever used to create a chair, as well as adding those ‘wings’ to the design. But besides the wood and chrome, the Wing also uses open cell visco elastic memory foam for upholstery, developed by NASA to adapt to your body shape and temperature, creating one of the most futuristic as well as one of the most comfortable chairs on the market.
Which all comes at a price. The chair and stool retail for £7,500.
Thank you for the kind words.
However… the retail price is USD 15000…
