Sporting Greats are selling a range entitled “World Cup Art” which includes all of the World Cup Posters from the 1930s up to 1990.
Pictured here is the earliest poster (and arguably the best) which is the Art Deco style poster from the Uruguay tournament in 1930. Others of note include Sweden 1958 (a predominantly yellow design), Argentina 1978 (a blue image of two players) and Mexico 1970 (a simple pink design featuring the typical seventies style font). There is also one from England’s 1966 World Cup, which features a cartoon lion if you are particularly patriotic.
