Holmegaard issues lost Verner Panton New Wave lighting

Ok, here’s the background. Verner Panton designed the New Wave lighting range back in 1984 for Danish design house Holmegaard. But Holmegaard and indeed the 1980s wasn’t ready for it, so the designs were left to gather dust in the Holmegaard basement. Until now that is.

Because it’s finally been issued by the company, looking every bit the contemporary lighting range – showing just how ahead of his time Panton was. Choose from a table lamp, floor lamp, wall lamp or pendant, all with an undulating surface that’s as much sculpture as lighting.
