Tommie Smith is primarily known for two things – breaking the 200m record in the Mexico Olympics and doing the famous ‘black power’ salute on the Olympics podium. And as a tribute to the man, Puma has launched the Tommie Smith Clyde trainers for the 40th anniversary.
The classic Clyde has a few new additions – an embossed gold medal heel, references to Olympic achievements on the tongue and a gold lining. The main shoe is in blue suede, but you can also pick up the shoe in a gold finish for a little more bling.
No matter which pair you go for, they retail for £79.
