We covered the floor version a few months back, but we’ve not previously highlighted the Bruno Munari Falkland suspension light.
Bruno Munari produced the light back in 1964 for Danese, using an elasticated fabric (based on a pair of tights) to diffuse the light, held in position by a white tubular steel frame.
The downside with the diffuser is that it isn’t fireproof – that shouldn’t be an issue with private homes (unless you hang it over an open fire), but not good for restaurants, bars etc – a fireproof version is on its way though. A number of sizes available, with prices starting at £133.
