Griffin has teamed up with iconic raincoat maker Mackintosh to add a small twist on a classic – the Griffin x Mackintosh trench coat.
As you’d expect from a Mackintosh coat, it’s made of double-sided rubberised cotton, so when the rain comes down, your clothes are safe from a soaking. Aside from that, you get all the traditional detailing – centre vent on the rear, breathing holes under the arm and concealed buttons leading up to a slim collar.
Available in khaki, it sells for £495.
I don’t know why “trench coat” is included in the description of the Griffin coat. It’s a simple rain coat.
A trench coat is double breasted and belted. It has epaulets on the shoulders, cuff straps on the sleeves, a gun flap on one or both breasts.
The coat illustrated has not one of these features.
