If you’ve got money to burn, you can burn some rubber in the 50s-inspired Mercedes SLR Stirling Moss speedster, produced in conjunction from McLaren.
The look of this super-exclusive sports star is inspired by the Mercedes 300 SLRs driven by motor racing legend Sterling Moss back in the 1950s. But outside of the looks, this is anything but a throwback car.
Packing a V8 engine, it offers up a top speed of 217mph and 0-60mph in just 3.5 seconds. There’s also a lightweight carbon fibre frame, enhanced aerodynamics, carbon-ceramic disc brakes and an interior that ‘s very much on the side of luxury.
Even if you can afford the £672,000 asking price (yes, you read that right), there’s still a catch if you want one. As this is the last-ever Mercedes SLR, you have to be a previous owner to buy one (though I suspect flashing your pile of cash might just twist their arm).
