Another modernist classic from the workshops of ClassiCon – the Eileen Gray day bed.
It's been around since 1925, designed for a day of laziness for the affluent of the era – and still remaining a stylish and functional item for the hip and cool of 2009. For your (not inconsiderable) money, you get a base of chromium-plated steel tubing, a beechwood frame with rubber webbing and a loose mattress with Bonell-spring interior, covered in a choice of fabric or leather.
Prices start at £3,800.
