This bright and appealing Roller Stop is the brainchild of Harry Allen, an American designer who works across interior, product and furniture design. He currently has furniture in production with, amongst others, Habitat, Dune and Magis.
It's a resin cast of an original 1970s roller skate, so it's life size at just under 30cm high. Whilst most skates are designed to move, this is intended for use as a stopper: either as a doorstop or, if you have large enough shelves, a bookend. At £78.50 it costs a bit more than the average pair of skates but may prove more useful.
