It's not been on the shelves since 1995, but from tomorrow (April 1st), you can buy a new edition of the classic Roy of the Rovers comic – as a one-off special edition.
It's being revived by magazine publisher Egmont as a 64-page collector's magazine, obviously featuring football icon Roy Race and Melchester Rovers, as well as other comic strips from the comic's golden years – including Billy's Boots, Hot Shot Hamish, the Hard Man and Goalkeeper. There's no news about the actual stories – I'm intrigued to know if Roy is still playing, seeing as he lost his foot back in 1993. Then again, there's always the option of a false limb.
Find out from tomorrow – you'll find it at WH Smith (exclusively), priced at £3.99. Maybe you can slip it into your Roy of the Rovers holdall?
