Guaranteed to cause a stampede on the high street next week is Topshop’s latest collaboration, Barbara Hulanicki for Topshop. Like previous collaborators, the Biba founder has worked with Topshop’s in-house designers to produce a collection for a generation too young to have shopped in her iconic store.
The collection, which includes tops, skirts, dresses and swimwear, features illustrations by Hulanicki. The best items are probably those that feature her sketches of various chic ladies, which includes a scarf, shopper bag, blouse, skirt and wide-brimmed hat. The print on the dress above is also used on many items, including a pair of wide-legged trousers that would take lots of confidence to carry off.
The collection goes on sale on 28 April with a free poster is being offered with online purchases. A preview of the collection can be seen on the Topshop website now so you can decide in advance which pieces you want to scramble for (or not as the case may be) on Tuesday.
