There's no prizes for guessing what the 'middle c' stands for in this Middle C Lamp, as it proudly wears its mid-century influences. It's made by Sherman Warren from interwoven laser cut styrene for the shade and stained and lacquered plywood for the base and it stands at just over 30cm high, with a diameter of 25cm. It's for sale on the Velocity website for $200.
Interestingly, this is one of Velocity's selection from a website called Ponoko. Ponoko allows product designers to submit designs for realisation, as well as offering a wide variety of goods for sale and the opportunity to commission custom made items.
