Retro To Go readers in the vicinity of south-east London will no doubt already be aware of Brockwell Lido. Originally built in 1937, it's one of London's great open air swimming pools. If the weather still isn't quite warm enough for a dip, an event called The Modern Movement: Architecture, Design, Ideology may persuade you to pay it a visit.
Happening this Saturday 2 May, the event will feature a selection of twentieth century furniture and objets d'art on display and for sale, alongside activities and tea and handmade cakes by the Brockwell Lido Users group. Entry is free and the event is open from 10am till 4pm.

Fantastic, I love Brockwell Lido (it’s about 200m from where I live), wish I wasn’t going away for the weekend now…
