This beautiful Kensal Rising fabric is the first in a collaboration between Old Town and St Jude's. Both companies have a great pedigree. St Jude's create interesting fabrics, working closely with a range of artists, whilst Old Town are best known for their classic workwear. Both are interested in working with British materials and suppliers and also with a particularly British aesthetic, reflected in this design.
Apparently inspired by the skyline of chimney pots and roof tops visible between Broad Street and Richmond on the old North London railway, it comes in three colourways, all printed on 100% cotton. The pale green and brick is pictured and the stone/red and sky blue/chocolate versions are equally attractive. It costs £38 per metre.
