Back in 2007, we featured the original Vita Audio R2 audio system, impressed with its retro looks coupled with its high-end audio. So we're glad to see a new version of the tabletop system on the market for 2009 – the Vita Audio R2i.
Thankfully, Vita Audio hasn't messed with those retro looks and is still offering a nice walnut veneer finish, along with glossy black and white options. In terms of improvements, the R2i offers an enhanced audio receiver that offers DAB, DAB+ and FM radio, a universal dock for all iPods, 20w of output, 3D sound and some neat finishing touches, including gold-plated phono sockets and a separate volume setting for headphones. If you fancy having it by the bed, it even doubles as a very stylish alarm clock.
Check out over the page for an image of the glossy version, with prices starting at £279.99 from the likes of Selfridges, Harrods, House of Fraser, John Lewis and the Conrain Shop.
