We got very excited about this a couple of months back, but now we've got a date for the Saint Etienne Foxbase Alpha CD Subbuteo boxset.
That date (according to the band's website) is Monday 10th August at 3pm (UK time) – and with only 1,000 available, it looks likely that both fans of the band and Subbuteo collectors will be scrapping over the stock as soon as they go on sale.
If you missed it first time round, the boxset includes a 6-inch Subbuteo player wearing a 70s-style Saint Etienne kit, along with a reprint of the original album poster, 4x unique badges and a CD copy of the remastered double album, all wrapped up in a vintage Etienne green presentation box.
The one thing still missing from all this is the price of the box, which isn't likely to be cheap, but should be a worthy investment for the future.
