The Anglepoise 1227 wasn't the only stylish desk lamp designed in the early 1930s – check out the Archivio Storico Naska 1 lamp, newly-reissued by Fontana Arte.
Designed back in 1933 (a year ahead of the Anglepoise), the Naska 1 is an Italian modernist gem, with a revolving bracket for shifting light in all directions, a base and stem made of steel and a finish in either black, white or aluminium for the head.
The Naska 1 is the biggest og the family, sized around 50 x 50cm and selling for £212. The Nasketta is around 30 x 30cm, that sells for £152.
