If you happen to be in the capital from October 23rd 2009 through to February 2010, make a point of heading down to the Fashion and Textile Museum to check out Foale and Tuffin: Made in England.
If you don't know, Foale and Tuffin were two of the more influential London-based designers in swinging London, with the label described as 'was what cool girls wore' – most notably, colourful, pop-inspired mini-dresses and trend-setting trouser suits. The exhibition will recreate their boutique, showroom and design studio, charting the story of the two women and of course, showing off some hip 60s fashions.
The exhibition also coincides with the launch of the book Foale and Tuffin: The Sixties. A Decade in Fashion, which you can pre-order from Amazon right now (it's released on 31st October 2009). If you want to visit the exhibition, you'll find the Fashion and Textile Museum at 83 Bermondsey Street, London, SE1 3XF.
