Matt's theme isn't a particular decade, rather it's 'retro inspired with samplings spanning seven decades, with pieces from Europe as well as America'. And this is only his 'temporary apartment', many more pieces are in storage.
According to Matt, his favourite pieces are the Knoll chairs in original Knoll red fabric, the original Laurel lamp (next to couch) and the mid-century nail sculpture. In the kitchen above the cupboard is a collection of Scandinavian mid-century white glass, and the rest is 'just a varied assortment of random stuff from old to new from all over'.
