Anne Barrell makes ceramics designed to evoke the atmosphere of the English seaside with her designs featuring piers, promenades, beaches, fish and chip shops and other traditional English motifs.
Her range of plates particularly caught my attention. My favourites include the Paddling Boy design (pictured) which is inspired by holiday snaps from the 60s and 70s, and the Helter Skelter plate, featuring an image of the fairground attraction in Cromer. The plates are all available in three sizes, 16cm, 21.5cm and 27.5cm in diameter, costing £23, £31 and £38 respectively.
