As far back as 2007 we were showing our love for the Citroen DS in this site. These stunning motors get rarer by the year, but they do occasionally crop up on eBay – as is the case with this 1968 Citroen DS ID19 car.
The ID series was a more simplified version of the DS, lacking the power steering and some of the hydraulic controls of the original, but still sharing that stunning and iconic exterior.
This particular model has had a respray and a full retrim in leather, including the roof lining and steps. It's also got 'zero rust' according to the seller (due to being used in a warm climate area) and is used as a daily drive by the current owner, who is selling it to 'fund a car and entry for the Rallye Historique Monte Carlo next year'.
Left-hand drive, as it is a French model (but is being imported back to UK) and no mileage listed, although the seller has done 2,000 miles over the last two months 'without issue'. Want to be the talk of your street? If you want it, the price right now is £7,500. More photos on the listing.
oohh, we could buy that to go on our pitch to show how iconic Citroen cars have and can be!
The ID lacks semi-automatic transmission but does have power steering.
