Seeing as the sun is out, we've tried to find something suitable for our eBay treasure today – and we think this 1950s Morris Minor Convertible Splitscreen fits the bill perfectly.
It's a gem of a motor, built in 1954 as a convertible (not a later custom job) and still going strong, perhaps thanks to the amount of money paid out by the current owner. Since he/she bought it in 202, they've spent £8,000 on doing the car up, including chassis restoration, a new hood and Newton Commercial half-hide front seats and general maintenance.
It's got an unleaded 948cc engine and an 'old English white' colour scheme, with the only fault being a 'hairline crack in the windscreen'. But replacement glass is included in the sale. Fancy it? Bidding is at £2,500. A shot of the interior over the page.

WoW and double WOW,takes me back to my misspent youf when my mate had one, his though had a race tuned Cosworth engine and 5 speed box and could out race an E type Jaguar also had a top speed of 130 mph. Real scary with the top down. Ah those were the days………
Mind you £2500 seems a bit steep even with leather trim!!
