We do like the modern version, but you can't beat the original – like this 1972 Fiat 500L.
It's a right-hand drive with just over 55,000 on the clock, the current (second) owner selling as he or she is moving abroad. Essentially, it's a well-maintained car, described as 'well kept and garaged' and with some improvements (like a synchro gearbox added by previous owner), but by and large in original condition, as the images on the listing show.
There's a hefty list of recent replacements on the listing, plus a list of things that might need attending to, indicating that it's an ongoing project, should you need a hobby. But on the plus side, this is one of the cheaper 500s on eBay right now, with the price currently at £1,000.
That is such a classic. I would love to have that in my garage.
A friend at university used to drive around in one of these (a white one). Lovely, but you definitely don’t need a fancy car stereo: while driving it sounds like someones mowing the lawn on the backseat.
