Horrockses Fashions were best known for their floral dress designs in the 1940s and 1950s label and have cropped up a few time on this blog: both because of the exhibition at the Fashion and Textile Museum last year, and the range of products inspired by the label available from the V&A. Some of their best loved patterns are now being revived on bedlinens.
There are eight designs in their initial range, including the colourful Martha pictured which is based on an original design by Pat Albeck. Like the original dresses, the bedlinen is noticeable for its use of pattern and also because it apparently uses the finest level of cotton. Also worth looking at are the cushions, based on the company's 1950s advertising imagery.
Pillowcases cost £12, while £60 will buy you a double duvet cover. Individual cushions are available for prices starting at £30.
