Looking for an authentic Scandinavian knick knack to sit on your sideboard? These traditional Swedish Dala Horses could be just the thing.
In 1928 teenage brothers Nils and Jannes Olsson started to carve and handpaint wooden horses, a tradition that has been passed down through their families and has become a symbol of Dalarna in the heart of Sweden. Hus and Hem has just taken stock of these traditional ornaments in a choice of two designs, Magda Green or White Rose (which looks to be a orange-red colour rather than white).
The horses cost £24.95 each from Hus and Hem.
