The snowglobe is an archetypal Christmas gift – the right scene viewed through whirling flakes of snow has a magical nostalgic quality. The London Transport Museum's Keep Warm Snowglobe is one such piece.
The globe is inspired by yet another beautiful poster in the museum's huge archive. Originally produced in 1925, Kathleen Stenning's poster advertised the benfits of travelling below the ground to avoid winter weather above. The design lends itself perfectly to reinvention as a snowglobe; crowds hurry to and fro below ground whilst above the snow falls all around.
The snowglobe is one of a range of Keep Warm products and costs £9.99 here.
