Laura Ashley's Callisto wall clock clearly takes its cue from a design classic: George Nelson's Vitra ball clock.
That was designed back in 1948 and still is manufactured today, instantly recognisable for its coloured balls on spindles coming out from the clock face. This Laura Ashley clock takes the attractive shape of the clock and replaces it with neutral wood for a perhaps more subtle look: in fact one that reminds us of the Vitra special edition we featured earlier in the year.
The main difference is the price: while that special edition would set you back £195, the Callisto is a good budget version at £60.

Oh no! Writing ‘Laura Ashley’ across the middle is super tacky.
