I’ll admit that I was slightly underwhelmed by most of the original Conran for Marks and Spencer designs, but the second wave has some real gems such as this Bainbridge Armchair.
The chair has a stylish convex shape, which looks retro without being linked too closely with any one design period. It is available in a wide choice of fabrics, several of which such as the ochre, sea green and teal particularly lend themselves to a 1950s-inspired interior. The chair costs between £749 and £999 depending on the fabric chosen.
