Not the first time it has inspired the high street, DFS did a version a few years back. But the iconic Ligne Roset Togo seating system now has another high street competitor – the Fraser modular seating system from CSL.

The original Togo design was the work of Michel Ducaroy in 1973, with this space age classic still available from Ligne Roset today – although, as you might expect, it's not cheap. But it is the original and still a stunning design that's really survived the test of time.

The Fraser system isn't an exact copy, but it certainly looks like it has been inspired by the '70s original. It does have a couple of other selling points too. Firstly, it's available in leather rather than fabric (if you want that) and not just in the purple above – there are lots of colour choices. Also, as you might have guessed, it has price on its side.

You can buy the components separately, but if you go for the entire five piece set up pictured above, you'll be looking at £2,875. A three piece Ligne Roset Togo set-up is around £5,400. So a lot cheaper – but not the original, obviously. It's your call.
