We do love a Dansette, with this Dansette Major portable record player being an earlier model, but one that has been brought up to date with a complete service.
Dating back to the 1950s, it has a two tone covering of blue and cream, with a gold vertical lined front loudspeaker panel and on/off volume and tone control knobs. Of course, there's a valve amplifier too, for a rich audio output, along with a four-speed BSR deck autochanger.
As for that service, the turntable, motor and all mechanisms have all been fully serviced, oiled and adjusted for correct operation, with damaged parts replaced and a new stylish and plug fitted. Ready to go, in other words. In fact, almost like new.
