An interesting and rarely-seen item up for auction right now – this 1950s Dieter Rams-designed Braun PC3 Phonokoffer portable record player.
It's the work of both Wilhelm Wagenfeld and Dieter Rams, one of Rams' earliest pieces designed for Braun and featured in the Dieter Rams' book Less and More.
It's a standalone turntable, designed to be compatible with other Braun audio components, which means you'll probably need sone other vintage it to hook it up to. If you have that (or plan to buy), this one is in 'good working condition', but will probably need converting to use in the UK. Always nest to get it checked anyway. Cosmetic condition is described as 'good'.
All accessory parts are included – the original power cord, DIN cable (for modern receivers), banana cable for the old Braun receiver (and others) and a brush for cleaning the stylus and records, which is integrated in the cover of the box.
The price right now is £1.42.
