Barbara Sansoni’s Laurie the Lion is an impressive beast, but even more so when you know about his heritage.
He was designed by Barbara Sansoni in the 1960s and continues to be ethically produced in Sri Lanka today. Each version of Laurie is handmade by just one person, so each will be slightly different. This giant version is big enough for a four year old to sit on top of and costs £65. There is a smaller version too, who is a good size for cuddling and costs £34.50.
