Not only a cool place to live, this 1960s architect-designed modernist house in Lanouaille, Dordogne, France is perhaps cheaper than you might expect.
Located in a small town in Aquitaine in southwestern France and not too far from Limoges, La Rochelle and Bordeaux, the house is an individual architect design and presumably from the '60s, although it might just sneak into the 1970s. It's certainly got the look of that era, with some nice original period furnishings to go with some original features too.
As for the house layout, the translation of the agent's site points to a ground floor with two 'offices' (bedrooms we think), two further bedrooms, an en-suite bedroom, a toilet, kitchen, pantry, a living room with terrace and a shower room.
Go upstairs and you'll find a mezzanine and two further rooms (presumably one being a bedroom, as there's a total to six we believe). There's also a cellar under the house and gardens with wells and an outbuilding outside. There seems to be plenty of garden, but there is also the option of more land, should you want to buy more.
All of that for 216,000 Euros, which works out at around £180,000.
