An interesting reissue that's new to the market – the Jens Quistgaard Safari Chair for Gubi.
It dates from 1965, with the looks of perhaps an earlier modernist design. But the construction was groundbreaking – it is assembled without screws and brackets, the form is held together by 'inner tension'. Impressive.
As for components, it uses black-stained oak poles, a chromed metal frame and a black leather backrest and seat. £1,179 is the price.
