Not just a great example of British midcentury design, this 1950s Ivor Berresford-designed house in Sundridge Park, Bromley, Kent is up for rental.

The house dates back to 1958 built by and for architect Ivor Berresford, who is still the owner today. Inspiration is obviously taken from US architecture of the day, but with a very British touch.

For your money, you get allsorts of cool, along with five bedrooms (one with a dressing area), a large first-floor living room with floor-to-ceiling glazing, a storage area, a study, a bathroom,  a dining room and a kitchen. There’s also a garage integrated into the house, a large garden and a short driveway for off-street parking.

Just a stone's throw from the local train station and around a half hour into London by train (if that's where you work), the house is available for £2,250 per month.
