We feature plenty of products inspired by the archives of London Transport and various transport companies, but the postal service doesn’t come up so often, although if this Don’t Risk Delay Magnet is anything to go by, are worth raiding too.
The fridge magnet features the image from the 1967 poster Don’t Risk Delay, Post the right way (1967) by Stevens. When Stephen Tallent became GPO public relations manager in 1933, he decided to push the use of posters to carry information from the Post Office to the public, many of which are available as reproductions now. This design is available either as this magnet, measuring 52×78mm or as a postcard available as part of a set.
The magnet costs £2.50 from The British Postal Museum & Archives shop.
