Quite a title, but this Robin Day 1960s Delphi Executive Range for Hille rosewood desk is quite a desk.
Very much of its era and not a million miles away from the stuff Merrow Associates was producing around the same time, this was part of a range that could be used both in the home or in an office. Again, like the Merrow designs.
It was a quality item back in the day, no doubt due to its Rio Rosewood veneer, matched with solid steel and chrome plating, plus baize lining for the drawers. In 2012, it's said to have some pitting to the handles and frame, but is in overall 'excellent' condition.
