Sometimes simplicity is a beautiful thing as is the case with Per Lütken’s Provence Bowl.
The Danish glassmaker, designed over 3,000 pieces of glass for Holmegaard between 1942 and 1998. This piece is from his earlier years and has been reissued by Holmegaard. Designed in 1955, the Povence bowl illustrates Lutken’s respect for traditional glass blowing methods. The bowl is mouth blown and shaped freely by hand, without using any wooden or metal. The bowl is available in three sizes; small (19cm diameter). Medium (25cm diameter) and large (31cm). They are priced £79, £105 and £159 respectively.
