Do these swans look familiar? You'll have probably seen one of the Dartmouth pottern swans in your nearest charity shop, or antiques shop. But these swans are subtly different. Volpe and Volpe have updated the distinctive designs for their mid century swan collection, giving them a fresh look for the twenty-first century.
Founder of Volpe and Volpe, Trish Scorgie, wanted to resurrect some of the famous pieces of British pottery, lost as companies were taken over and cheap import ceramics entered the market. She's gone back to original designs, giving them subtle updates. In this case, it's the colour. There are six versions to pick from – or you could buy the whole flock.
In line with the aim to revive the heritage of the UK's ceramic industry, the swans are made in Stoke on Trent.
The swans cost £45 each.
