It's a new design but the Aerodrome table lamp by Northern Lighting definitely has a 60s look.
The lamp design claims to be influenced by classic Scandinavian designs of the 1960s. While the 1960s influence is definitely there, the shape is reminiscent of a more streamlined version of a classic Italian design: the 1967 Artemide Nesso table lamp. That streamlined look gives a clue to another influence on the design of the lamp, which was apparently aeroplane engines. Made from silicon, the lamp offers a modern update on a Space Age look.
With four colours to pick from, the lamp costs £398.
